NEWS: Maika vs. Tomoka Inaba Official for JTO 5th Anniversary Show

World of Stardom Champion Maika will make an in-ring appearance for Taka Michinoku’s Just Tap Out Professional Wrestling, returning to the company for her first singles match since 2020.

Following Tomoka Inaba’s first successful title defence of her Queen of JTO Championship – her third reign with the belt – against Yuu Yamagata, Maika came out to challenge her to a singles match at the upcoming JTO 5th Anniversary show.

Though Inaba seemed to accept the match there and then, the official confirmation didn’t come until two days later; a special singles match between the pair on the 15th July 2024 in Korakuen Hall. This will be a rematch of the only singles match between the pair – a match which Inaba won 4 years ago at JTO’s 1st Anniversary show – with that match also being Maika’s last before joining Stardom full-time.

It is worth noting that Maika stated in no uncertain terms that, should she be able to hold the World of Stardom Championship until July, she is more than happy to put her belt on the line. It does appear however that Inaba’s Queen of JTO title will not be on the table.

This will not be the first time Maika has returned to the company she made her debut for in 2019 however, teaming with MIRAI in a winning effort against Inaba and Aoi at Taka Michinoku’s 30th Anniversary Show back in September of 2022.
