Having lost the Wonder of Stardom Championship to Sendai Girls World Champion Mika Iwata at THE CONVERSION back at the end of June, Saori Anou has been on something of a spiral of self-confidence.

However, after being granted a rematch inside of a Sendai Girls ring on their July 15th Korakuen Hall event, Saori Anou had a chance to avenge the loss, regain her championship and stop, once-and-for-all, the self-doubt she has been feeling.

Sure enough, with the Cosmic Angels and Stardom President Taro Okada cheering her on from the Korakuen Hall balcony, Saori Anou channeled her teammates Natsupoi and Tam Nakano by hitting both the Fairial Gift and the Twilight Dream to pin Mika Iwata in 15:41 to not only regain the Wonder of Stardom belt, but also become the Sendai Girls Champion for the first time in her career.

In reclaiming the Wonder of Stardom Championship, Anou becomes only the fifth member in history to hold the Wonder of Stardom Championship more than once; the other being Mayu Iwatani, Io Shirai, Act Yasukawa and Tam Nakano.

There’s no time for Saori Anou to sit on her laurels however, as challengers to both of her championships have already been confirmed. Following the main-event DASH Chisako, who defeated Stardom’s Momo Watanabe in a hardcore match earlier in the night, confronted her, while it was already decided that Natsupoi would be the next in line for a shot at the Wonder of Stardom Championship on the 27th July PPV in Sapporo.

Stardom Sapporo Wonder Rendezvous will air on PPV on the 27th July. Broadcast information will be announced closer to the date.
