With Stardom Dream Queendom – arguably Stardom’s biggest show of the year – on the horizon, the company are looking past that show in announcing matches for the PPV just five days later; New Year Dream 2025.
Emanating from the Tokyo Garden Theater in Ariake on the 3rd January, two matches had already been announced for the show, with Tam Nakano taking on former-Cosmic Angel Unagi Sayaka, and Cup High Mate – fresh off their Goddesses of Stardom Tag League final defeat – against Team 200kg.
Three more matches have been announced however through Stardom’s official social media channels, including a title match and the return of Dump Matsumoto and ZAP to a Stardom ring.
Off the back of their rivalry that appears to have been simmering for a huge chunk of 2024, Aya Sakura will challenge Evolution’s Chi Chi for her Sendai Girls Junior Championship. Dump Matsumoto and ZAP will return with Natsuko Tora in tow to take on the Cosmic Angels trio of Saori Anou, Natsupoi and Sayaka Kurura. Elsewhere, we will also get a final preview of the IWGP Women’s Championship match set for Wrestle Kingdom 19 on 4th January between Mayu Iwatani and AZM, as Mayu teams with Hazuki and Koguma against the NEO-GENESIS team of AZM, Mei Seira and Miyu Amasaki.
