With the first three dates of the New Year’s Golden Garden 2025 tour now in the books, and with Utami Hayashishita completing her first successful defence of the Marigold World Championship against Tank in Chunichi Hall on the 13th January, Marigold have now announced the full card for their next Korakuen Hall show on January 19th.
Already announced were three championship matches, with Mai Sakurai defending her Marigold United National Championship against Nagisa Nozaki in what is believed to be the main event. Meanwhile, Victoria Yuzuki will make her first defence of the Superfly Championship against the recently dethroned ICExInfinity Champion Yuki Mashiro, and the powerhouse duo of Tank and Bozilla will defend the Twinstar Championships against the team of Nanae Takahashi and super rookie Seri Yamaoka.
Elsewhere on the card, Utami Hayashishita will be in non-title action against Megaton – the former Bulldozer Todoroki – in what will be the 42-year old’s first singles match since the 5th May 2024. More interestingly still, is that Megaton is yet to win a singles match in her career, with a current record of 0-5. A star-studded tag team match between the teams of MIRAI and Misa Matsui, and Miku Aono and Natsumi Showzuki will also take place in what perhaps might be an unofficial number one contendership match for the Twinstar Championships.
