Pre-Show Notes

  • 20th World of Stardom Champion Saya Kamitani has been champion for 35 days – in her first reign. This will be the first title defence of her reign.
  • Suzu Suzuki has challenged unsuccessfully for the World of Stardom Championship three times previously, with her latest challenge being against Tam Nakano in October in Nagoya. Her and Saya Kamitani’s singles record currently stands at 1-1, with Saya winning the most recent singles match between the pair during the 2024 5Star Grand Prix.
  • This is the first time in over four years that the World of Stardom Championship has been defended in Korakuen Hall, with the last being the 17/01/2021 match between champion Utami Hayashishita and challenger Maika. A title change would see it be the first World of Stardom Championship title change at Korakuen Hall since 2019.
  • 33rd Artist of Stardom Champions Cosmic Angels (Tam Nakano (4), Natsupoi (3) & Saori Anou (2)) has been champion for 182 days – in their first reign. This will be the third title defence of their reign.
  • AZM has the opportunity to become only the 8th person in Stardom history to reach four or more Artist of Stardom reigns with victory here; joining Mayu Iwatani (5), Io Shirai (6), Kairi Hojo (5), Saki Kashima (5), Tam Nakano (4), Hazuki (4) and Kaori Yoneyama (4).
  • Ami Sohrei will be absent from all cards as she begins the process of recovering from ACL and meniscus tears in her knee.
  • Xena has suffered a ligament injury in her knee, and will be out of action for an undisclosed period of time.
  • Konami is still absent from shows due to an injury sustained at Dream Queendom in her match with Syuri. No timetable for her return has been released.
  • Saya Iida and Matoi Hamabe have both been confirmed to be missing from upcoming shows due to respective injuries. No timetable is currently available for their return to the ring.
  • Prior to the show, Stardom announced that the show had sold out, with only standing room tickets available.
  • Attendance Note: The announced 1,614 for Korakuen Hall was a legitimate sell-out, with standing-room only available. This number is the largest Korakuen Hall number in Stardom’s history and is only the second time in the 160 times they have run the venue that they have drawn over 1,600 (the previous best being 1,602 at the 9th Anniversary Show on the 19th January 2020.) It is also a 30.9% increase on their previous Korakuen Hall show (1233 on 1/13) and is the ninth of the last ten in the venue to surpass the 1000 mark.

Other Show Notes

  • Following the 8-woman tag team match between EXV and H.A.T.E, Thekla and Rina attacked Mina Shirakawa with a chair, Rina hitting her with a Pink Devil onto it. Shirakawa needed to be carried to the back by HANAKO. with Stardom confirming the next day that she will be out for an undisclosed amount of time with injury.
  • Koguma defeated Ranna Yagami meaning that the latter had to perform the bear dance. This devastated Syuri, who then sprinted from the ringside area when Koguma announced that she would next be her to perform the dance.
  • Following the God’s Eye vs. STARS match, Konami made her return to the ring for the first time since her injury on the 29th December during her singles match with Syuri. Konami led a H.A.T.E attack of God’s Eye, specifically targeting Syuri, with Kiyoka Kotatsu defending her God’s Eye leader.
  • NEO-GENESIS defeated Cosmic Angels to become the 34th Artist of Stardom Champions, ending the Cosmic Angel reign at 182 days – the 11th longest Artist of Stardom reign in history. This is AZM’s fourth reign with the belts, Starlight Kid’s second and Miyu Amasaki’s first.
  • Following Saya Kamitani’s defeat of Suzu Suzuki to retain the World of Stardom Championship, Tam Nakano entered the ring to vow revenge on Kamitani. The champion laughed this off and instead challenged Tam to tag team match between her and a mystery teammate, against the Cosmic Angels of team of Tam and Sayaka Kurura. However, stakes were raised when Kamitani said that, should her team win, Sayaka Kururua must join her. Tam was understandably reticent, but it was Sayaka Kurura who persuaded her to agree, telling her to ‘trust her‘. This match has since been confirmed for Path of Thunder in Utsunomiya on 24th February, though Saya’s teammate is still a mystery.
