BITE-SIZE SHOW REPORT: Stardom New Blood 19 (Saturday, 1st March 2025)

Pre-Show Notes

• 4th New Blood Tag Team Champions Rice or Bread (HANAKO (1) & Waka Tsukiyama (1)) have been champions for 65 days – in their first reign. This will be the first title defence of their reign.
• This will be Nanami and Himiko’s first time challenging for these belts. However, Nanami was in the tournament to crown the inaugural champions back in 2023, teaming with Ami Sourei and losing in the semi-finals against MIRAI and Tomoka Inaba.
• Honori Hana makes her first Stardom appearance since failing to capture of the Future of Stardom Championship from Saya Iida in February of 2021.
• Miria Koga and Miku Kanae both make their Stardom debuts at this show.
• Ruaka and Honori Hana met in a singles match last month at SEAdLINNNG’s Shinjuku FACE show, with Ruaka coming out victorious.
• Ami Sohrei will be absent from all cards as she begins the process of recovering from ACL and meniscus tears in her knee.
• Xena has suffered a ligament injury in her knee, and will be out of action for an undisclosed period of time.
• Matoi Hamabe will be missing missing from upcoming shows due to injury; no timetable is currently available for Matoi’s return to the ring.
• Attendance Note: The announced attendance inside Bellesalle Shibuya First was 178. Not only is this the lowest New Blood attendance in the chronology, an 11.4% decrease on the 201 they drew to New Blood 18, but it is Stardom’s lowest attendance since the 7th December 2023 (114). This continues a downward trend in New Blood shows for the last four shows since New Blood West 2 in November 2024.

Show Notes

• A confrontation between H.A.T.E and the SEAdLINNNG representatives followed their tag team match with the two teams having to be separated.
• Sakuradamon (Aya Sakura & Yuna Mizumori) are the new number one contenders to the New Blood Tag Team Championships, and will challenge for the belts at New Blood 20 on March 27th.
• Following their loss in the main event for the New Blood Tag Team Championships, Nanami and HANAKO stood face-to-face with each other and expressed a desire to face each other again – perhaps in a singles capacity.
