Pre-Show Notes

  • This is the 11th iteration of the Cinderella Tournament.
  • Tournament Debutants: Tabata, Azusa Inaba, Yuria Hime, Aya Sakura, Akira Kurogane, Rian and Ranna Yagami.
  • Hanan has the opportunity to become the third person to win back-to-back tournaments after Mayu Iwatani (2015 & 2016) and MIRAI (2022 & 2023).
  • The reduced field of 16 is a return to a conventional single elimination tournament, and is the smallest field since the 2020 tournament.
  • All first quarter-final matches will have a 15-minute time-limit, with victories occurring through all conventional methods and over the top rope.
  • Double countouts or time-limit draws results in a double elimination.
  • Due to Aya Sakura and HANAKO’s time-limit draw on the opening night of the tournament, both were eliminated. This means that Azusa Inaba has a bye into the semi-finals where she will take on either Ranna Yagami or Sayaka Kurura.
  • Ami Sohrei will be absent from all cards as she begins the process of recovering from ACL and meniscus tears in her knee.
  • Xena has suffered a ligament injury in her knee, and will be out of action for an undisclosed period of time.
  • Matoi Hamabe will be missing missing from upcoming shows due to injury; no timetable is currently available for Matoi’s return to the ring.
  • Momo Watanabe will not be present on this weekend’s cards due to her being in Los Angeles to take on Mercedes Mone for the TBS Championship at AEW Revolution.
  • Hazuki and Koguma will not be present on the show on the 9th March due to them defending the OZ Academy Tag Team Championships at Shinjuku FACE against Momoka Hanazano and Itsuki Aoki.
  • Saori Anou and Fukigen Death will also miss the show on the 9th March due to participation on the aforementioned OZ Academy show.
  • Attendance Note: The announced attendance inside the Kariya City Industrial Promotion Center in Aichi was 678. This is the first time Stardom have run the venue and appears to be the first show run at the venue this calendar year. According to Cagematch, companies such as WAVE, FREEDOMS, Dragongate, Marvelous and Sendai Girls have all run the venue, but the 678 Stardom have drawn is easily a record for Kariya City Industrial Promotion Center among attendances that have been announced; comfortably beating the previous highest of 363 drawn by FREEDOMS in 2024.
