BITE-SIZE SHOW REPORT: Stardom Goddesses of Stardom Tag League 2024 – Night 11 (Thursday, 21st November 2024)

Notes

• Ami Sohrei will be absent from all cards as she begins the process of recovering from ACL and meniscus tears in her knee.
• Kaori Yoneyama – more commonly known as Fukigen Death in Stardom – has also suffered an ACL tear and will be out of action for a year.
• Xena has suffered a ligament injury in her knee, and will be out of action for an undisclosed period of time.
• Currently Eliminated from the Tournament: Team Classroom (Lady C & Hina)
• Attendance Notes: The announced attendance inside the Akira Furusato-mura Dome Theater in Akita was 441. This is the first time that Stardom have run the venue and it appears to be a rarely-run venue across the board. New Japan ran it in January 2023 for the first time since the Road to Sakura Genesis tour in 2017, while NOAH ran it for the last time in 2016 as a part of their Winter Navigation tour, drawing 237. Both NOAH and New Japan have run it very sporadically since 2009.

Show Notes

• There was another brief confrontation between Tam Nakano and Mayu Iwatani following their 10-woman tag team match, with both women holding their respective belts in the other’s face. Tam has made it publically known that she wants Mayu in a title vs. title match at the Tokyo Dome, but with Mayu and AZM taking place on 4th January, there is nothing confirmed in relation to the 5th at Wrestle Dynasty.
• With the loss to PsyQueen, Inaba and Yagami become the first team mathematically eliminated from the Red Goddess Block.
• Following their double count out which saw Thekla and Momo utilise weapons to subdue Mad Tiger Girl, Suzu took to the microphone and mocked Momo for H.A.T.E not being able to use weapons properly, threatening to show her how to really use them. Momo took exception to this and hit her with the baseball bat once more.
• Courtesy of defeating Cup High Mate in the main event, Fukuoka Double Crazy become the first team in the tournament to guarantee a play-off spot as they now have tie-breaker victories over both Cup High Mate and BMI2000.
• Also as a prize for winning the match, FWC were presented with a year’s supply of Akita Komachi and the ‘right to have a house built in Akita’ on the proviso that they then move to Akita. On top of all this, they also confiscated the beers of Cup High Mate, attempting to drink them post-show but were unable to because of the taste.
