Show Notes

  • We were introduced to the new rookie who will make her in-ring debut at New Blood West 2. Chiba-born Matoi – whose ring name is yet to be confirmed – came to the ring and announced that her debut match will be against Hanan on Saturday 16th November. From an article printed in Tokyo Sports regarding Matoi, we find that she is 19 years old (born in June 2005), has a background in Judo, is 155cm tall (which is just under 5 foot 1) and is 56.5kg. It was also announced that she will be at Korakuen the following night in order to take part in an exhibition sparring exercise.
  • Suzu Suzuki and Tam Nakano could not co-exist during their match stemming from the residual heat from the Red Belt match from October 5th – ending up coming to blows at various points in the match.
  • After Starlight Kid pinned Wonder of Stardom Champion Natsupoi, she took to the microphone and doubled down on her desire to challenge for the White Belt. It looked momentarily like Rina was going to attack, but left without saying a word – potentially signalling her intent to go for the Wonder of Stardom Championship following her record-breaking reign with the Future of Stardom Championship.
  • Team Classroom achieved their first points of the tournament when Hina pinned Hanan with the Gedo Clutch. Though Team Classroom are already eliminated, this does put a lot of pressure on Winggori to win the vast majority of their remaining matches to be in with a chance of reaching the play-offs.
  • There was carnage in the H.A.T.E vs. H.A.T.E match-up, with miscommunication causing Konami to accidentally spray Saya Kamitani in the face with the spray paint. This was followed by Tora then misting Konami and hitting the Swanton for the win – there was a touch of perceived animosity following the match, when Konami refused to shake Tora’s hand, instead kicking it away.
