Pre-Show Notes

  • Ami Sohrei will be absent from all cards as she begins the process of recovering from ACL and meniscus tears in her knee.
  • Kaori Yoneyama – more commonly known as Fukigen Death in Stardom – has also suffered an ACL tear and will be out of action for a year.
  • Xena has suffered a ligament injury in her knee, and will be out of action for an undisclosed period of time.
  • 3rd New Blood Tag Team Champions DEVIL/PRINCESS (Rina (1) & Azusa Inaba (1)) have been champions for 116 days – in their first reign. This will be the second title defence of their reign.
  • This will be Lady C’s third attempt at the New Blood Tag Team Championships, having failed against Bloody Fate alongside HANAKO, against Winggori alongside Ami Sourei, and now against DEVIL/PRINCESS alongside Ranna Yagami – who has her first attempt at the belts here tonight.
  • New Stardom rookie Matoi will make her debut at this show, competing against Hanan; her official ring name will also be announced prior to the show.
  • Just Tap Out’s Sumika Yamagawa will make her Stardom debut, while teammate Misa Karuga will make her second appearance following her participation in a 6-woman tag team match at New Blood 3 in 2022.
  • Momoka Hanazono makes her return to Stardom for the first time since 18th November 2023, where she was unsuccessful in her bid for the High-Speed Championship against Mei Seira at Gold Rush.
  • Sendai Girls’ Chi Chi and ZONES make their first Stardom appearances since New Blood West 1 on 17th November 2023.
  • Attendance Notes: The announced attendance for New Blood West 2 in Azalea Taisho Hall in Osaka as 246. This is a decrease of just over 11.5% from the only other time Stardom have run the venue (278 for New Blood West 1 on November 7th 2023 with Rina vs. HANAKO for the Future of Stardom Championship in the main event.) It is however a 4% increase from the previous New Blood event in the chronology (236 for New Blood 16 with DEVIL/PRINCESS vs. Rice or Bread for the New Blood Tag Team Championships in the main event).

Show Notes

  • Prior to the beginning of the show, President Taro Okada announced the official ring name that new rookie Matoi will be using moving forward; Matoi Hamabe.
  • Following her submission victory over Hamabe, Hanan took to the mic and stated how impressed she was by the fight and tenacity of the new rookie, extending the invitation to join STARS. Hamabe said that she would consider the offer.
  • Hanazono accidentially hit Mizumori with the bubble wand during their tag team match against NEO-GENESIS, leading to Mei Seira being able to roll up Yuna with a School-Boy.
  • After successfully defeating Sakura and Kurura alongside Sumika Yanagawa, Misa Kagura made a challenge to Tam Nakano – who was seconding her Cosmic Angels teammates. Kagura said that she had come to Stardom to face Tam, and it didn’t matter whether they did it in a Stardom or a JTO ring.
  • At the culmination of the semi-main event, Chi Chi and Zones demanded that next time they step into a Stardom ring, that President Taro Okada give them stronger opponents. Seeing this as an insult to the other rookies, Aya Sakura came out and brawled with Chi Chi, with the pair having history stemming from this year’s Jaja Uma Tournament where Chi Chi beat Aya in the finals. The brawl then proceeded to continue through the curtain. This also prompted a secondary brawl between ZONES and HANAKO with Rian trying, and failing, to stop HANAKO from chasing her opponent through the curtain to the back.
  • DEVIl/PRINCESS completed their second successful defence of the New Blood Tag Team Championships, with Rina taking a shot at Lady C following the match. Rina stated that Lady C should be taking wrestling more seriously, while Lady C – who turns 30 tomorrow – demanded that Rina show her in a singles match exactly what it means to ‘take wrestling seriously.’
