2025 is going to see some big changes to High-Speed Championship matches going forward.

Though the matches are ordinarily relatively quick by the nature of the type of wrestlers in the division, the championship – currently held by NEO-GENESIS’ Mei Seira in her second reign – will now be contested for with a time-limit of just ten minutes.

That’s not all though, as it has also been announced through Stardom’s English Twitter profile that each match will be contested with a two-out-three falls, with falls coming via pinfall, submission or countout as well as, presumably, disqualification.

On the subject of countouts, though Stardom ordinarily observes the international 20 count on the outside for its matches, matches involving the High-Speed Championship will instead have a reduced count of 10; something more familiar to Western audiences.

The first match contested under these new rules will be Mei Seira’s defence against Saki Kashima at Korakuen Hall on Monday 13th Janaury.
