Hana Kimura’s fourth annual memorial show is just around the corner, taking place at Korakuen Hall on the 23rd May – the date four years ago where Kimura tragically took her own life amidst a sea of online-bullying.
Following ‘Matane’, ‘Bagus’ and ‘Pinx’, this year’s show is called ‘Terimakasih’ and is Indonesian for ‘thank you’ as a nod to Hana’s Indonesian heritage.
Though the card was announced some weeks ago, a big question mark was left as to who would be VENY’s opponent for the show, with it listed until the 7th May as simply ‘X’. However, it was announced via the official Hana Kimura Tribute Show Twitter account that the mystery opponent would be none other than Marigold’s Giulia in what will be a special, first-time singles match.

Having been unable to partake in any of the three previous tribute shows, Giulia calls Hana her ‘sister-in-arms’ before going on to promise a match Hana would have loved with VENY. Giulia has been very open in the past over the importance of Hana in her own journey in Stardom, still referencing their match at Year-End Climax 2019 as one of her favourites – doing so again during a recent enlightening interview with Post-Wrestling’s Karen Peterson. Her and Konami would then put on what many have labelled the unofficial Hana Kimura tribute match at Dream Queendom 2021 with both women layering in nods and tributes to their late friend.
