NEWS: Goddesses of Stardom Tag League 2024 Play-off Brackets Set for 7th December

After over a month of intense block action, the 2024 Goddesses of Stardom Tag League play-offs are set, with three teams from each block progressing.

The semi-finals and play-offs are due to take place on the 7th December in Act City Hamamatsu, with second and third placed in the groups having a play off match to see who will face the top of the block in the semi-finals.

The final night of block action from DUO CEREZO in Niigata saw a substantial chunk of the 18 total teams still able to qualify, with only one team from Blue Goddess already guaranteed qualification and only one spot left in Red Goddess with both Fukuoka Double Crazy and Cup High Mate already booking their play-off bow.

Alongside FWC and Cup High Mate, BMI2000 managed to squeeze past the remaining teams to claim the third and final spot in Red Goddess, defeating Anecon – with help from Konami – and courtesy of other results going their way. Tokimeki Purin a la Mode couldn’t get past Cup High Mate, and PsyQueen’s time-limit draw with 02 Line cleared the path for Tora and Ruaka to steal the final available spot, setting up a play-off against Cup High Mate to see who will face FWC in the semi-finals.

Meanwhile in Blue Goddess, SaoriPoi had already booked their own semi-final place and topped the block the previous night, meaning that it was a straight shoot-out between Winggori, Mad Tiger Girl and H.A.T.E Supreme. Mad Tiger Girl dispatched Team Classroom in convincing fashion to become the second team to qualify, while Winggori managed to sneak a victory against H.A.T.E Supreme to jump ahead of them into the third and final qualification place.

In Red Goddess, this leaves us with Cup High Mate and BMI2000 fighting for the right to meet former-tournament winners FWC in the semi-finals, whilst in Blue Goddess it will be Mad Tiger Girl and Winggori vying for a spot in the semi-finals against SaoriPoi.

The final of the 2024 Goddesses of Stardom Tag League will take place as a half-price PPV in the 8th December – also from Act City Hamamatsu.
