NEWS: Jungle Kyona Challenges Nanae Takahashi for April 27th Marigold Show in Nagoya

Following Nanae Takahashi’s Passion Countdown match against MIRAI in KBS Hall on April 5th, Marigold audiences were treated to a surprise return few could have expected.

Jungle Kyona – former-Goddesses and Artist of Stardom Champion – who has been out of action since April 2023 due to a knee injury, made her way to the ring and asked Nanae Takahashi for a singles match. The date was put forth to be the 27th April, when Marigold will be in Nagoya which is Kyona’s hometown!

Excitingly, Kyona also mentioned that she wanted to use this as a test to see if she can get back in the ring, citing Nanae’s passion and dedication despite her battered body as an inspiration for her to try wrestling again despite the injuries to her knees.

Kyona left Stardom at the end of 2020 after a knee injury forced her to take time off, wrestling her final match for the company on the 4th October. She would return to the ring in May of 2022 at Hana Kimura’s tribute show before doing a tour of the US independent scene, including a match on AEW Dark. Unfortunately, she would be forced to take more time off from the ring due to the ongoing issues with her knees on the 14th April 2023 after a match at NOMAD’s Freelance Summit Vol. 3. Jungle has not wrestled since, and appeared to be done with wrestling making this announcement all the more exciting for her fans.
