Injuries are unfortunately beginning to mount up for Dream Star Fighting Marigold at the moment.

After the announcements that Kizuna Tanaka, Komomo Minami and Nagisa Tachibana will all face time on the shelf due to varying injuries came the news that no-one wanted to hear.

During a press conference ahead of their 19th January Korakuen Hall card, Kouki Amarei made her first appearance since limping out of her GHC Women’s Championship defence against Chika Goto on the 3rd January to update people on her injury. It wasn’t good news, with Amarei confirming that she sustained an ACL tear and will be out for an extended period of time.

After that devastating blow, Amarei – who stood with the aid of crutches – did try and bring some light to a dark situation by saying that she was aiming to return for the 1st Anniversary show in Yoyogi in May.

The injury appeared to occur whilst performing her traditional Pump Kick early in her 3rd January match, landing awkwardly and leading to the rushed finish of the match.

We at The Marigold Standard and The Stardom Cast wish Kouki a speedy recovery and hope to see her back in the ring as soon as she is fit, healthy and happy.
