Marigold are set to start 2025 with a bang on the 3rd January as the company heads to Ota-Ward City Gymnasium in Tokyo for First Dream 2025. With Sareee defending her Marigold World Championship against Utami Hayashishita, Miku Aono putting her United National Championship on the line against Mai Sakurai, three other titles match and the much-anticipated debut of Seri Yamaoka when she takes on MIRAI, excitement levels are incredibly high for the show.

Though the card has been announced for some time now, there has been a pair of changes due to injury.

Kizuna Tanaka, who missed the show in Shinjuku FACE on the 13th December, has been officially taken off the card once again due to the persistence of the back injury she has been wrestling with. In order to give her time to rest and recover, Marigold confirmed on their Twitter account that she will be out of action for the next two months.

After sustaining a knee injury at Marigold’s last Korakuen Hall show on Boxing Day, it has now been confirmed that Komomo Minami has damaged the medial collateral ligament and the meniscus in her knee. The extent of the damage is not known, and her timetable for return is yet to be confirmed.

Both women were not in prominent positions on the First Dream cards, with both announced for the New Year Rumble. The injury does mean however that Minami will have to withdraw from the Rookie of the Year tournament scheduled for the 31st December in Shin-Kiba 1st RING.

We at the Marigold Standard and The Stardom Cast wish Kizuna Tanaka and Komomo Minami a speedy recovery, and hope to see them in-ring again as soon as possible.
