Strong Style Pro-Wrestling – the promotion run by the inaugural Tiger Mask Satoru Sayama – will hold their next Korakuen Hall event on June 12th in memory of the achievements of Hisashi Shinma, who passed away aged 90 in April of this year.
Shinma was a powerhouse in professional wrestling, acting as chairman and part of the booking committee in New Japan Pro-Wrestling in the 1970s and early 1980s, aswell as being the on-screen ‘WWF President’ before Jack Tunney. On top of this, he formed the UWF, was pivotal in the Tiger Mask gimmick being given to Satoru Sayama and is credited with discovering Akira Maeda. He was also the chairman of Real Japan Pro-Wrestling, and became their representative director when they changed their name to Strong-Style Pro-Wrestling, only retiring from the position in October of 2024.
Two more matches were added to the memorial show today, with Sareee being announced to be taking on SEAdLINNNG’s Honori Hana, whilst MIRAI will take on Evolution’s Soy for the first time ever in singles competition.
