After a Sakura Genesis show that saw Hirooki Goto successfully defend his IWGP World Championship against New Japan Cup winner David Finlay, eyes turn to their next big Japanese event in the Wrestling Dontaku double-header on May 3rd and 4th in Fukuoka.

As well as the New Japan action, the company confirmed that there will also be a Stardom exhibition match to take place on May 4th. Though no competitors have been made official, Fukuoka is the hometown of Maika, Hazuki and Koguma.

The match itself has been announced alongside a slew of title matches, with Hirooki Goto defending his IWGP World Championship against Callum Newman, Yota Tsuji vs. Yuya Uemura for the IWGP Global Title, an all-Bullet Club elimination match as War Dogs take on House of Torture and Hiroshi Tanahashi continuing his retirement road against Zack Sabre Jr.

Both nights of New Japan’s Wrestling Dontaku 2025 will air LIVE for subscribers on NJPW World.
