Saya Kamitani has been added to the illustrious ranks of winners of Pro-Wrestling: Wave’s Catch The Wave Tournament after defeating Kohaku in the tournament final in Korakuen Hall on the 14th July 2024.

Joining the likes of Kana (WWE’s Asuka – 2011), Hikaru Shida (2014), Rina Yamashita (2017, 2018) and Suzu Suzuki (2022), Kamitani – who came to the ring wearing a Queen’s Quest mask – first defeated Itsuki Aoki in the semi-finals before dispensing with Kohaku – who had beaten Haruka Umesaki earlier in the night – in 13:42.

In recognition for her victory, Kamitani received ¥4,000,000 as well as the chance to challenge for the Regina Di WAVE Championship (Pro Wrestling: Wave’s top championship) currently held by Yuki Miyazaki, a match that has since been made official for the 4th November.

Unfortunately for God’s Eye’s Ranna Yagami, she could not emulate Saya’s success, losing to Honoko in the final of the Young Block.

All matches will be available to stream on Stardom World at a later date.
