Tokyo Sports have announced that Mina Shirakawa will not be renewing her contract with Stardom, and will instead leave the company at the end of this month.

The article goes on to say that this was a decision that Shirakawa made at the end of last year.

Though nothing has been confirmed as of yet, Tokyo Sports writes that it is considered likely that she will be looking to go to the United States, with AEW – where Mina was prominently used on TV in the summer of 2024 during the Mariah May and Toni Storm story – the most logical destination.

Shirakawa joined Stardom in 2020, initially becoming a part of STARS at the behest of Tam Nakano. She would ultimately leave to form Cosmic Angels with Nakano and Unagi Sayaka in 2021, becoming Future of Stardom Champion and Artist of Stardom Champion in the process. Following tension with Nakano, Mina left to form Club Venus, a relatively short-lived faction with Mariah May, Xena, Xia Brookside, Jessie and later Waka Tsukiyama where she would capture the Goddesses of Stardom Championships alongside May as Rose Gold. The faction would ultimately dissolve however as Shirakawa and Maika would jointly found Empress NeXus Venus in 2024, giving Mina her final run as a champion with her, Maika and Xena capturing the Artist of Stardom Championships.

The crowning moment of Mina’s Stardom career was her capture of the Wonder of Stardom Championship, ending the 480-day reign of Saya Kamitani in front of over 5,000 people in Yokohama Arena in April 2023. After one defence, she would lose the belt to rival and the.-World of Stardom Championship Tam Nakano in a title vs. title match just over a month after winning the belt.
