Match #1 – Cosmic Angels (Saori Anou & Aya Sakura) def. Cosmic Angels (Natsupoi & Sayaka Kurura) w/ Potering (10:33)
An interesting dynamic to open proceedings here, as Natsupoi and Saori Anou could very well be the picture in front of us for the Wonder of Stardom Championship should Anou successfully dethrone Mika Iwata on Monday. The pair seem to realise this as well, and after a brief playful game of cat and mouse, both women tag out to their respective partners.

Match #2 – Hazuki def. Rian w/ Crossface (7:50)
Another singles match for Rian here and, though it is clear to see even over this last weekend how much she is improving in ring, she ran into a brick wall of sorts in Hazuki, with a few brief pockets of offence the best she could hope for here.
Hazuki, for her part, took no prisoners, as is always the case when she has the spotlight, her offence epitomising the mantra of ‘tough love’. A whole host of brutish kicks rained down on Rian until she was locked in a tight Crossface. Having fought valiantly to escape Hazuki’s first attempt at the move, Rian has little chance here and was forced to submit in under 8-minutes.
In the post-match backstage comments, Hazuki was in pensive mood, comparing the fledgling Rian to her when she debuted 10 years ago. As well as referencing her own desire to perform moves she wasn’t necessarily ready for, Hazuki also made a point that Rian’s contemporaries are now challenging for belts, whereas she is clearly not ready.
The improvement is evident in Rian, however it appears she has some way to go in order to impress the Wildheart.

Match #7 – God’s Eye (Syuri & Konami) def. Winggori (Hanan & Saya Iida) w/ Ryuen (13:07)
Having dethroned FWC just a few short weeks ago, and with an incredibly dangerous Oedo Tai challenge on the horizon, God’s Eye had no time to rest on their laurels or bask in the glow of their achievements as they faced off against New Blood Tag Team Champions Winggori in non-title action.
With miscommunication causing Syuri to be pinned by Thekla at Korakuen Hall, it was going to be interesting to see the dynamic of the champions, and early on there seemed to be no concerns, with them able to navigate an attempted Winggori double team Dropkick before aggressively capitalising with stereo kicks to the spine. Konami continues her dominance over Saya Iida by focusing on the arm before tagging in Syuri, who forgoes this strategy and instead blitzes Saya with a host of brutish kicks to the spine.
In spite of the assault she was enduring, Iida stayed in the contest, first attempting to trade forearms with Konami before finally gaining a moments ret by wiping out her opponent with a Diving Shoulder Tackle. This brought the Young Lioness Hanan into the match for the first time, and she went after Konami like a house on fire and even managed to wipe out both champions with a Diving Crossbody before then clattering into Konami with a Corkscrew European Uppercut. Despite this, the threat was always there that the Submission Sniper was lying in wait to target Hanan’s arm, and that’s just what happened when she took a wild swing by the ropes, allowing Konami to catch her with a Rope Hang Triangle Armbar.
It’s only when Saya intervenes to stop Syuri from kicking Hanan’s spine out of her chest, that Hanan is able to reassert herself in the match with a Judo Throw, tagging in Saya and allowing for some Winggori tag team offence. In spite of youthful exuberance on the part of Winggori allowing for God’s Eye to catch them with stereo Armbars, Hanan and Saya Iida continued to battle hard, Iida with her chops and dogged determination and Hanan with her typical speed and athleticism – once again wiping out both members of God’s Eye on the outside with a Diving Crossbody.
Syuri however proved far too strong in the end, kicking out of an Iidabashi attempt before wiping out Saya Iida with a Buzzsaw Kick, and following it up with the Ryuen for the victory – giving the champions some much needed momentum heading into their first championship defence on the 23rd July in Korakuen Hall against Oedo Tai.
